Special Issue in Honour of Maulana Irshad Husain
An Eminent Scholar, Poet, and Reformer
Faizan-e-Adab invites high-quality scholarly contributions for a Special Issue dedicated to Maulana Irshad Husain, a distinguished scholar, poet, reformer, and one of the guiding forces behind the establishment of this journal. His intellectual legacy, deep commitment to the promotion of Urdu and Persian studies, and his lifelong dedication to educational and social uplift have left an enduring imprint on contemporary literary and cultural thought.
This special issue seeks to celebrate and critically explore the multidimensional aspects of Maulana Irshad Husain’s life and works. We welcome original research articles, critical essays, academic reflections, archival studies, biographical explorations, and analytical writings that highlight his literary contributions, reformist vision, pedagogical approach, poetic achievements, and his influence on modern Indo-Persian scholarship.
Themes May Include (but are not limited to):
- Maulana Irshad Husain’s contribution to Urdu and Persian literature
- His role as a reformer and educator
- Critical analysis of his poetry and prose
- His influence on contemporary literary thought
- Archival studies, rare manuscripts, or unpublished works associated with him
- His role in shaping local intellectual and cultural environments
- Comparative studies connecting his work with global literary traditions
- His legacy and impact on succeeding generations of scholars
Submission Guidelines:
- Submissions must be original, unpublished, and prepared according to academic standards.
- Articles should be between 3,000–6,000 words, and abstract should be between 150-200 words with proper citations and references.
- All submissions will undergo double-blind peer review.
- Papers may be submitted in Urdu as per journal guidelines.
