Maulana Irshad Husain was an eminent Urdu and Persian poet whose literary brilliance was complemented by his remarkable contributions to social reform and religious scholarship. A refined and versatile literary figure, he wrote with equal mastery in Hamd, Naat, Manqabat, Qasida, and Ghazal, producing a body of work that reflects spiritual depth, intellectual sensitivity, and artistic elegance.

Across his distinguished career, Maulana Irshad Husain authored eight books, each covering diverse themes ranging from poetry and ethics to religion and community welfare. His writings continue to enlighten and inspire readers with their clarity, wisdom, and literary grace.

In addition to his scholarly achievements, Maulana Irshad Husain launched the literary magazine Faizan-e-Adab, which has been published regularly since 1 January 2016. His tireless efforts, dedication, and passion for promoting literature and intellectual discourse were instrumental in sustaining the magazine and establishing its reputation as a respected platform for academic, literary, and cultural expression.

Born in 1949 in Pura Maroof, Mau, Maulana Irshad Husain devoted his life to learning, teaching, and community service. He passed away on 14 April 2025 at Era’s Medical College, Lucknow, leaving behind a profound legacy of scholarship, poetry, and social commitment. His memory lives on through his works, his students, and the institutions he nurtured with utmost sincerity.
