It gives me immense pleasure to present Faizan-e-Adab as a platform devoted to the advancement of scholarly discourse in Urdu and Persian studies. Over the past eleven years, this journal has not only maintained regular publication but has also remained committed to the highest academic standards, offering space to diverse voices, emerging perspectives, and rigorous research in the humanities.
In an age where languages and cultural identities face continuous erosion, Faizan-e-Adab aspires to serve as a bridge between our classical heritage and contemporary intellectual enquiry. Our mission is rooted in the belief that the rich traditions of Urdu and Persian literature still hold remarkable relevance—both as cultural memory and as living, evolving modes of expression. It is with this conviction that we encourage contributions which explore new connections, revisit forgotten texts, and expand the boundaries of literary understanding.
The journal has been fortunate to receive contributions from dedicated scholars, researchers, and writers who continue to enrich its pages with their insightful analyses. Our Special Issues—including those devoted to Prof. Nayyar Masood, Prof. Muzaffar Hanafi, and Mir Taqi Mir—reflect our on-going commitment to honouring the foundational figures of our literary heritage. Such thematic volumes allow us to engage deeply with individual legacies and provide valuable resources for future scholarship.
