Q. Does Faizan-e-Adab charge any submission or publication fees?
No. Faizan-e-Adab does not charge any fees for submission, peer review, processing, or publication of papers. The journal is committed to supporting scholarly work without imposing financial barriers.
Q. How can I access the papers published in Faizan-e-Adab?
Faizan-e-Adab is an open-access journal. All published papers and issues are freely available to the global academic community, including through online repositories such as Rekhta, where most issues are accessible.
Q. I am a librarian. How can I subscribe to the journal for our library?
Please email us or send a formal request by post (details available under “Contact Us”). We will arrange subscription services and dispatch issues as required.
Q. How long does it take for a submitted paper to be published?
The review timeline largely depends on the availability and responsiveness of our reviewers. However, Faizan-e-Adab strives to complete the double-blind peer-review process and inform authors of the decision within 3 months of submission.
Q. My paper has been rejected. Can I re-submit it?
If a manuscript is rejected, the same version cannot be considered again. However, if you substantially revise the paper by addressing the concerns raised by editors and reviewers, you may re-submit it as a new submission. If a manuscript is rejected twice, it will not be reconsidered.
Q. My paper was rejected, but I am confident about its quality. How is that possible?
Faizan-e-Adab adheres strictly to scholarly and ethical standards. All submissions undergo double-blind peer review, and acceptance is based solely on academic merit, originality, relevance, and methodological soundness. A paper may be strong but still fall outside the scope, rigor, or expectations of the journal. Other platforms may be more appropriate for such work.
Q. Do you review books as well?
Yes. Faizan-e-Adab welcomes reviews of scholarly books, critical editions, annotated works, and significant literary publications in Urdu, Persian, and related fields. If you would like your work to be reviewed, please contact the journal. Our Review Editors will arrange the process.
Q. I have a proposal for a “special issue.” How can I proceed?
We invite proposals for special issues on relevant themes. Please send:
- A brief bio-note of the proposed guest editor(s),
- A 2,000-word proposal,
- A tentative list of contributors with provisional titles.
After an in-house editorial assessment, we will respond with feedback and further steps.
Q. I am not affiliated with a university or academic institution. Can I submit my work?
Absolutely. Faizan-e-Adab values genuine scholarship, irrespective of institutional affiliation. High-quality and original research from independent scholars, writers, and researchers is warmly encouraged.
